Purple Cap Award Winner in IPL 2017 Cricket Matches – Meaning of Purple Cap in Indian Premier League

Purple Cap is an Annual Cricket award represents taking the most wickets in IPL T20 season.

Purple cap was presented on 13th May 2008 after an Orange Cap was introduced. The bowler with most wickets in the tournament during the season will wear the Purple Cap while fielding. In case of a tie, the bowler with super efficiency rate would hold the Purple Cap.
